What Do You Get When You Work With Me?

I was listening to my friend Matt Zeigler on a podcast while making dinner earlier this week, and I heard him say something that jumped out to me,

“What do you get when you work with me?”

I don’t remember the context of the conversation that led him to share the question, but I immediately opened my phone to jot down the question so I could return to it. This is a great question for everyone serving others to consider and answer; it’s especially valuable for me since what I’m building with Santiago is new and different, not what the majority of people would expect from someone who has been a financial advisor for twenty years.

So, what do you get when you work with me?

• Guide

• Advisor

• Sounding board

• Collaborator

• Champion for your authentic life

• Creativity

• Vision

• Energy (Optimism, Confidence, etc.)

• Curator

• Connector

• Expertise (Over 20 years as a financial advisor)

Over the next few weeks, I’ll break down each of these to explain what I mean, why you might want this, and how these fit into the AlignedLife+ relationship.

What excites me about this list is that what you get by working with me is not the traditional list of characteristics for a financial advisor. I also know that most people will look at this list and not get excited about working with someone who brings what I bring to the relationship.

But…those who do will be an excellent fit for Santiago and AlignedLife+ and lead to exciting, impactful, productive, and transformational relationships.

I don’t want to be like most financial advisors. I want to be the advisor who fully leans into my unique gifts, talents, and authentic Self, and when I look at the list of what you get when you work with me, I see just that.
